• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... On the Kia website, it lists front and rear skid plates as part of the Nightfall package. On my window sticker, it isn't listed (but neither is half of the Nightfall feature list). Under the car, all I see up front is the plastic air dam and the bottom of the engine/transmission is all exposed - no skid plate.

Is this normal, or do I need to go and complain?

There's what Kia's calling a skid plate. Same for the mid rear bumper. Those are silver/gray on non NF.

There are no real skid plates. They're talking about the polished chrome pieces that are at the bottom of the bumper front and back. They are blacked out on a NFE Telluride and are shiny on the rest.

Well, I wasn't really expecting 4x4 plates under this thing, but the language is confusing... Thanks

I guess what else would you call them? Bumper accents maybe? Probably a marketing decision to call those parts skid plates. For lack of a better term I guess...

Lower Bumper maybe? Skid Plate is a fairly well understood term I think and Kia is using it to make their vehicle sound more tough :) definitely marketing games....
