  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We ordered our 2020 Kia Telluride SX on December 1st. Yesterday we got a call from the dealer saying they had bad news and they weren't sure they were going to be able to build our car we wanted as they are so backed up. They said they got a call from Kia on this. They then went on to say they had an EX coming in that maybe we wanted to put our name on. We are not sure they are being completely honest and maybe they are just wanting to sell a car sooner. Anyone else get a call saying they are too backed up to fill an order?

They're giving you BS most likely. You ordered 12/1, it's going to be a while. Probably April. Some people that ordered in Aug on here still don't have their cars.

I order an SX AWD around mid December and was told roughly 3 to 4 months; however since mine wasn't a Prestige, I may actually get it sooner. I haven't heard from the salesman since but know that I probably won't until at least the end of January. Just stick with your order and don't fall for that BS. I would honestly go to another delearship and order another one and whichever one has your order built first gets your business. Just make sure you can get your deposit back anytime during the process.

Yeah, that's BS. They just want to get you to purchase an unsold allocation they have arriving sooner. I'd keep hunting for your desired trim - use the production spreadsheet on the forum.

They want to sell you what they have. This is not correct.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t get your hopes up of getting it sooner. I ordered an SX non-P on 10/16 and was told the same thing... “about three months, but maybe sooner since it’s not a Prestige.” This week we’ll cross the 12 week mark and my order hasn’t even been accepted/VIN created yet, and I imagine the queue only got longer between when my order was placed and yours. I know they don’t build sequentially, but the odds are much greater it’ll be longer than 3-4 months than shorter.

I ordered a black copper SXP on 12/27 and was told 4 to 5 months.

Well that's a downer. Damn. Well I guess on the bright side I'll hopefully get it when winter is over.
