Noise - Smart Cruise Control

Noise - while using Smart Cruise Control SCC this noise developed when braking. It only happens while using SCC and not when manually braking. Sounds like it is coming from the left side under the hood and likely from whatever actuates the brake when using SCC. Anyone else experience this and if so what was the issue and fix?

Definitely a distinct noise when you are almost at a complete stop. Kinda like strumming a rubber band or spring door stop. How does the brake fluid level look?

Does it happen both at low speeds and highway speeds? Could it be uneven brake pads/rotor surface? Could try bedding your brakes to see if it goes away?

Thanks for the reply. Brake fluid is at max level. Happens ONLY when using Smart Cruise Control and ONLY when braking and then releasing the applied braking. More common when having to brake quickly, however it will do it even when braking slowly. Again, this ONLY happens when using Smart Cruise Control. It does not happen when braking manually. So, it definitely seems like whatever mechanism is used by Smart Cruise Control to apply and release braking.

Anyone using Smart Cruise Control in heavy stop-n-go traffic?
