• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... When I pull into a parking space, I find that the front camera will not activate unless I stop, put the car in neutral, then back to Drive. Is this normal?

...or you can just press the camera button. Saved you a couple of steps ;)

The front camera is activated one of two ways: hitting the “view” button when you’re in drive, or when you shift back into drive after the surround view system was automatically engaged by shifting into reverse.

I do press the camera button, but the camera does not come on. It will only come on after I press the camera if I put the car in neutral, then back to drive. If I pull into a parking spot, press the camera button - nothing.

Therein is the problem - when I hit the "view" button in Drive, the camera doesn't come one unless I then move the shifter to neutral than back to drive. This doesn't seem right?

At what speed are you trying to turn on the camera view? I'm pretty sure you have to be driving less than 10 MPH for it to activate

I have this issue when I'm going 1 or 2 MPH - as I'm pulling into a parking spot and want to turn on the camera. I hit view and NOTHING until I shift to neutral then back to drive. Definitely going much less than 10MPH.

...umm yeah...that's not a normal behavior.

Maybe breaking to hard while pressing the view button in forward motion. Try easing on brake pedal or completely release the brake momentarily to press view.
