It’s a nice little ski town in Colorado, nothing weird about it. I went there in the early 90s one summer.

Truth is, it is impossible to please everyone. The name is not what matters, it is the car, how it drives, the tech, reliability, luxury, etc. Take what you can get.

I'm familiar with Telluride. I'm in Colorado and thinking of going to Telluride for vacation with my Telluride. A meeting room at my work place is named Telluride.
We would find a small town named Palisade in Colorado if you take I-70 to/from Utah. (Hyundai would not be aware of it.)
Kia and Hyundai like to name after a name of place in mid-west such as Sedona, Telluride, Santa fe, Tucson, Palisade. Sorento might be a city name as well, but Sorrento is correct spelling for the city in Italy.

Sorrento is an awesome place. Went there in 2017 for my honeymoon. I'd suggest it and the entire Amalfi coast. (side bar)

Having been to Telluride Colorado during everyseason, I think the name is awesome and fitting for an equally classy, majestic, intimidating and refreshing vehicle. Perfect name!
