Just FYI, I checked failcat daily looking for my VIN to pop but got it first from the dealer Oct 7th and it still hasn't popped up on failcat. I had Stephen Cantrelle confirm that VIN was sold to me and when I plug the VIN the dealer gave me into the web address format that failcat links for window stickers, it pulls up the correct window sticker.

So it seems failcat is not infallible.

Not knowing the status can be irritating, but the dealer did eventually come through. I don't think it's out of line to check in and ask if they've heard anything every few weeks.

Good to know. I just spoke with my dealer and they have no status and my order hasn't been picked up by Kia. Dealer has been very pleasant and doesn't appear to mind my check ins every few weeks. Waiting game continues....

Seems odd that any dealer would care if their customers check on the status of an ordered vehicle. Are they going to cancel the order because somebody asked too many times?

I have seen a few of your postings from time to time. You have been waiting for your T a long time? Hope the wait isn’t much longer. Please keep us posted.

@Katy_Tell, ha ha. That’s pretty bad when others are noticing how long we’ve been waiting. Lol. Actually the wait will probably be as long as a lot of others. We put our deposit down with one dealer mid-April and that’s who I’m hoping our order is processed through because we have a written promise of buying below MSRP. I’m hoping to hear that the order got picked up by Kia either today or tomorrow….so I’ll let you know if I get an ETA. (I did do another order via another dealer in July & haven’t heard anything from them at all….so I’m thoroughly done with car ordering and buying a car for quite a while. This whole process has been way too time consuming ).

Nope, we currently have 2 Labrador-hound mixes & my first baby was a Black Lab. I was only a Lab Mom for quite a while, until we adopted our son last year. So that’s the Lab portion of my handle.

Well I thankfully & finally have an ETA of 12/10! And was grateful they still held up to the agreement of just over $1k under MSRP. So incredibly excited!!

EXCELLENT! After the T became so popular, you are only the 2nd person, who posted (that I read), to get below MSRP. After all the papers are signed, you should head for your favorite party spot or restaurant!

My Dealers says my order didn't get picked in the Oct KFOS cycle (it was open last week), so if any of you guys are hopeful that your orders were going to get picked up. Please follow up with your dealers. I have a long way to go, there are 20 orders ahead of mine and Ball Hill Kia has been getting 6-8 cars a month as per Failscat. Makes me feel I would have to wait until Dec/Jan for my order to make it to KFOS.

Was told 8-12 weeks when I ordered.
