• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Found some drips under the engine in the garage and brought it in- confirmed oil leak at 1500 miles : ( anyone have any experience with this?
The dealer said they are waiting to hear back from kia on what to do next.

So what’s leaking

Finally confirmed after being in the shop since Friday that there are some bolts that hold something in the engine and the sealant didn’t seal at the factory- the oil is leaking from these bolts. they need to put this special sealant on and then one of the mechanics drives it home 2 nights in a Row to make sure that the sealant worked in the mornings. this is extremely frustrating-love that a stranger will be driving my car home.
If after driving the car home for 2 nights- it’s still leaking. They will remove the transmission and work on that. Sounds insane. The car has 1500 miles!!!!
Finally got offered a loaner today after 4 days because kia finally approved this repair as loaner eligible.

It wasn’t the bolts. Still leaking, something about the rear main seal Maybe??
Now it’s being escalated at Kia corporate. They can’t figure out the problem.

Hmmm... Um, well... mmmm...

I’d fight for them to buy it back! They’ve had their chance... I don’t have much patience with things like that with a brand new $50,000 vehicle.
