• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I did an oil change on my 2020 Telluride and noticed (for the first time) that the wires going to a sensor have been cut.

As far as I can tell it is REF.20-213B in the 'Belt and Oil Pan Diagram' - see attached.Screenshot 2025-12-18 102955.webp

But I can't find out what that part actually is.

I'm very confused and if anyone can help me understand what this is (and how or why the wires ended up being cut) I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

You never know what can cut something like this. I was crossing a busy single lane bridge and the car in front of me lost it's hubcap. I drove over it while it was rolling as I couldn't avoid it. It cut my clutch cable cleanly in half and I was stuck in 3rd gear for the next 20 miles until I could get to a good stopping place.
