• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've been waiting for months as we've been looking to get into something a little bigger than our 2016 Sorento SX-L. We test drove a Telluride SX on Monday and found the handling and transmission are more dynamic and smoother than the Sorento. I also have 2012 VW Touareg and I'd say it is more comparable to the handling characteristics of the T-reg. They have definitely injected a bit more sport into this than the Sorento.

In any case, we wanted the Dune Brown leather so we had to order (or whatever you want to call it) one...so now the wait begins (SX, Prestige, Moss w/ Dune, & Towing Pkg). Our dealer did mention that there are a few in the production pipeline destined for the Midwest in the Moss and Dune color combo so hopefully they'll start introducing that interior color into production soon. Otherwise, no word on when we might expect it.

Ahh, the wait... You have so much more patience than I do... So the Telluride handles well and rides smooth? Is that what you're saying? Because I really like the sounds of that...

I also have the 2016 SX-l and it's weight really transfers in corners and you can feel it. That's the only thing I don't like about the Sorento.

It is going to be a rough few weeks/months!

Yes! On the ride front it is just more rigid (in a good way) than the Sorento. The ride is not too firm and not too soft where you feel like you're floating. I threw it around some corners that I'd never consider doing in the Sorento and it performed really well (keeping in mind that it is big and heavy). The steering felt nice and conveyed a lot more road feedback than the Sorento so I knew where the tires were pointed/going which gives more confidence.

This sounds very encouraging. Thank you...

Did they give you a final price before you ordered? Have you heard yet when you can take delivery?
