• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I haven’t gotten my Telluride yet but have seen MANY videos, I love it. My question is can you stop the outside rear view mirrors form cycling every time you lock or unlock your car. I keep cars for long time (current car has >370K miles) and I turned off this cycling to prevent wearing out the motor that cycles the mirrors. I can still cycle them, when I need to, via switch inside.

Yes, you can turn this feature off. I do find it a good visual aid to know that the doors are locked for us old people with CRS syndrome. :)

It is possible to configure the convenience feature from your instrument cluster menu. To change it from unfolding either during approaching or unlocking.

However, it doesn’t look like there are any other options to disable it completely. It will still fold when you lock the door and unfold when you unlock the door.

Maybe if you just don’t lock the door and park in a garage would be the only way to prevent the mirrors from folding at all.
