In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Took my 2021 telluride SX in because started getting exclamation point and parking sensor error. They removed bumper and sensor wiring was so corroded where meets connector to sensor 2 of the wires had broken off. The service Advisor told me usually this isn’t covered usually because of “corrosion” but they woukd take care of it by replacing wires.

Seriously, Kia, the waterproofing at connection tk sensor is great but you forgot to waterproof the back end where the wires enter plastic connector for harness and then want to say a one year old car with 14k mikes should be expected to have corroded and wires fall apart as “corrosion” that is not part lf warranty replacement, yeah, good luck getting that past ny’s consumer protection laws lol. Hey a defective windshield seal cause water to leak into all your electronics but we won’t cover the damage cause that is “corrosion”

Speak up if you have had the same here

My wife's 2020 had a similar issue with front sensors and the dealer replaced the entire front harness. The corrosion was in the main connector under the front bumper.

Has been working fine since replacement, not sure if they sealed it with some type of goop or just used lots of dielectric grease.

likely a bigger issue where it snows and they use salt on the roads....

I have the same problem with my front sensor but I was told that it's not covered because there is a little mark on the camera probably from a rock and that is considered wear and tare.

The camera is not involved with park distance system.....

The park distance uses the sensors (little dots) on the bumpers only.

I had a similar problem with my 2023 which I bought in December. The rear and front sensor warnings came on. The dealer looked at it and there is a tiny scuff on the plastic between two of the sensors (not on or near a sensor) they are stating that damaged the harness and it now needs replaced. The harness is $125 but labor and diagnostic is another $600, I even bought the extended warranty. First and last Kia!

Your Dealer is full of Shit, ask them to explain exactly how the scuff on the bumper caused harness damage.

Go to a different dealer for service it should be warrantied unless you hit something that caused the bumper to collide with the harness and damage it.

This is good to know, thanks! The Kia dealership wants $674.46 for this repair.

My front parking sensor wiring harness was defective on my 2023. They covered it under warranty

2021 Palisade limited. Had a front bumper incident and the car was at the bodyshop and sensor wires were exposed for 2 weeks in 0% humidity in summer Montana. Dealer claimed it happened here and not some loading dock in Korea. What a bunch of cowards at Hyundai. (Kalispell Montana)

Hard to understand the connector internals corroding if the connector was not opened or disconnected. The connector itself is supposed to be waterproof when its assembled.

Agreed. If the connectors are truly weatherproof they would have rubber plugs on the backside where the wires first insert.

y’all are kinda making me want to go and inspect all of my sensors this weekend lol.

I just joined this group in looking for help with the same issue that started up about three months ago as a once in a while problem that has become an every day occurrence. At this point, this error comes up every time the car is in drive and comes to a stop, with or without something in front of me, and then goes off again once I start moving. It is currently at a Kia dealership in Arlington, Texas and they had to order a new sensor and it will take them two days to get it in. I purchased my car used with only 12k miles on it and it currently has 37k, as I am a regional Rep and cover a large territory, so I log a lot of miles.

I am currently going through this as well, it seems as if Kia has a bigger issue they are refusing to take care of, I had my vehicle in the shop 2 weeks ago, they told me the harness had corrosion so bad that the wire was almost completely disconnected, they fixed it for $250 stating it was not covered under warranty, 3 days later the error came back up, they now tell me the left sensor is no good, 4 hours later I get a call from the dealership asking if I can leave the vehicle overnight because they found 4 more issues with the wiring. This is a 2022 Kia Telluride SX nightfall edition with tow package, an almost $60,000 vehicle with only 2.5 years of ownership... first and last kia here as well...

I had this happen to my 2020 Kia with under 50,000 miles but it was just out of the 5 year warranty period. I appealed to Kia and they apparently denied the claim because of "outside occurrence." I say apparently because I learned this after calling several times to determine status. No one bothered to talk to me. I am now told the case manager will call me (Im not holding my breath). The dealer wants over $1,000 to repair.

2021 Kia telluride I’m the only owner. 68,000 miles. Error codes and lights in my car. Kia dealership has been terrible to deal with. Told my sensor and rear wiring harness were bad. $3200 dollars!!!! Warranty of course was up 60,000. I fought that there seemed like more issues and of course now there is a back up camera issue as well. I lived my car but sadly won’t be getting a Kia again.
