• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi everyone, bit of a strange one. I’ve searched through the forum as well as online and haven’t been able to find anything so I’m assuming this isn’t a common problem for the Telluride.

I have a 2022 SX-L (Canada) picked up in April this year. Was out shopping and when we got back to the truck after about 15 mins it was full of white smoke. Opened it up and noticed the seat back on the passenger front was burning/melting.

Quickly padded it down and it stopped. I immediately figured I’d had something to do with the seat heaters. Windows were closed so nothing was thrown in, there was nothing on the seat so seat heater is all I could think of.

Dealer says it didn’t appear to start inside the seat and they feel it might have been caused by a freak issue where there was a magnifying glass effect from where it was parked. Hard to believe IMO.

Either way it’s all being covered under warranty but thought I’d ask just to be sure no one else may have reported something like this.
