• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Pedal Commander in my Telluride

Was a skeptic, now I’m a believer. Creates a whole different driving experience. Didn’t think I could enjoy this Telluride anymore than I already have.
Price is a little steep but you can definitely feel the difference. If it was priced at $200 it would be more awesome!😂 But I guess if people are buying it at $300 it’s not going down anytime soon. Overall I am very happy with it also!

Had one in a previous car. Best bang for the buck without impacting the computer or warranty. Huge thumbs up!

I don't know anything about pedal commander, can you explain why it changed your driving experience

Costs less than an cold air intake system. I think the price went up because of the Bluetooth feature which is quite helpful. It’s easy to find a 10% coupon just by googling it. I don’t have it on the Telluride yet but it was a best investment on my other car.

It amplifies the voltage of your throttle input to fool the computer to think you press on the gas pedal more. And no, it’s not the same as “just press down more” as many people will say. There is a video explaining the difference on YouTube.

At its core, the Pedal Commander modifies the throttle signal being sent to the computer, greatly increasing throttle response. It does not add horsepower or torque, but once installed you'd swear the car gained 30 of each. The factory sport mode is no comparison to the Pedal Commander.

One of the best things about the Pedal Commander is it does not affect or modify the computer or programming in any way, which means it can be removed with no evidence it was ever there.

Link to said video? Yes, I'm a skeptic 🤨

Tried to find it but there are too many PC related videos on you tube. I remember happened to see it after I bought it so didn’t pay attention to the name of the video. Basically, it showed internally how it work vs pushing down the pedal down quickly.

i‘ll post it when I find it again.

I love the PC! It is absolutely different than using Sport mode. It provides throttle response that feels like a mechanical pedal-to-carb. Well worth the price

Sport mode keeps the trans at a lower gear even when you are just cruising wasting fuel. PC is less aggressiv, only let you access power when you want. I wonder why car manufacturers don’t use the same idea for the sport mode, or “normal” and keep sport mode as is for people who drive aggressively. Based on my electrical background, I think it’s a very simple process. To be honest, I think the Telluride’s engine response is not that bad and I don’t think i’ll put one in.

I understand this to a degree on higher performance cars where you are trying your best to get 500 hp to the wheels and you don't have a stick shift. On a heavy SUV with a engine rated at under 300 hp you are going from bleh to meh. What's the endgame, to put Ford Explores and Toyota Highlanders to shame? I feel the need to mash the throttle on some merge ramps and occasional passing, and the Telluride is more than able. I actually traded in a BMW 340' with modifications giving it 400 hp and was always looking for more. With the Telluride, it is what it is.;)

It’s not about going fast, it’s the drivability and people drive differently. It’s frustrating when your car just not responding for a second after a turn, or you when suddenly need to speed up. The Telluride doesn’t do that though, at least not as bad as most Toyotas and some Mazdas (Not so much ZOOMZOOM 😁). Most of the videos on youtube give the wrong impression as people buy the PC to get the best 0-60 time, but it’s not. If you have an open road and slam on the gas, the PC is not going to give you better time, but in real life driving who drives like that. And actually high performance cars don’t need it as they have zero or little builtin throttle lag, or shift much quicker.

While some may purchase the Pedal Commander for outright performance, I personally have used them for increased satisfaction in normally daily driving in a non-performance vehicle.

The Pedal Commander gives the throttle a much more natural feel in terms of engine response. As someone mentioned earlier, it gives the impression of a direct physical connection to the throttle body, and then some. Your foot becomes an extension of the throttle body where every movement results in a direct and immediate response from the engine (and, consequently, the transmission).

It’s very difficult to convey the feeling to someone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand. While I would recommend the Pedal Commander to any and everyone, I can certainly understand why someone who has no qualms with the Telluride’s throttle response would not want to spend the money for one.
