Placing my Telluride order on Monday

Thanks to numerous test drives, this forum and seeing all the pictures everyone posted I am ready to place an order for a 2021 SX-P AWD EVERLASTING SILVER, Nightfall edition with Nappa Dune seats and Towing package.

The final decision on which of the below packages and options I want is all that is left. So far the mirror & side step bars are all I think I need but I have to look more closely as maybe these are included in the SX. I'll be ready by Monday. Please let me know what you think about any options you like or regret not getting after now having your ride.

We added the Towing Package, Cargo Seatback up Mat, Carpeted Floor Mats and Illuminated Scuff Plates to our SXP order.

The Interior Light Kit is a party trick...but doesn't sync with the existing SX LED ambient lighting - so I didn't think it was worth the money. The SX has a Homelink transmitter and LED Fog Lights so you won't need those.

I think you may be right about the party trick thing but if it gets my kids from turning on the overhead lights it may be worth it in an aftermarket dim-able product. Some other thread covered this. I have several weeks to give this thought.

I thought about the seatback up mat but couldn't figure out how it worked so I just didn't do it but I bet it is worth it.

How are you ordering exact model you want? I dont know of any dealerships offering this, they are happy to just get any nevermind allowing customer order exact color/options.

How are you ordering exact model you want? I dont know of any dealerships offering this, they are happy to just get any nevermind allowing customer order exact color/options.

To be very honest I almost purchased a sorento today because they are practically giving them away. I learned this is the last year before a body change so 7900 discount. I took one for a spin and asked my sales rep to convince me why I shouldn't save 20k and buy this thing. He did a good job convincing me and 20 mins later I'm placing the Telluride order lol.

I don't know why some dealers won't take orders. That sounds stupid. My dealer said it would be the same cost to order as purchasing inventory. It is a big purchase so I wanted it to be EXACTLY the way I want it. They had 20+ Tellurides in stock as they are a volume dealer. The last one I drove was a black copper SXP tow with nappy brown... I loved it but it was black so it would always be dirty. Getting the exact perfect ride is the way to go with this baby. If it was a Ford Explorer than who cares but this is much nicer.

Does the SXP not come with the EC Mirror w/Homelink?

yes, someone educated me on this before purchase so I didn't upgrade this as the SX has an upgraded mirror even though there is no compass. Not worth $350 for a compass... google tells me where to go anyway. All I wanted in a mirror is homelink and the dimming capability. I did upgrade to the $350 upgrade on a Forte GT line and that was worth it since the base mirror has nothing. I hope this helps.
