• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello everyone, first of all, happy new year to all.
I searched and read through some of the threads regarding TPMS. I understand that for our telluride, the car is self learned, just install them. I took my car to pep-boys twice with 2 different places, it looks like they don’t know too much about our cars. I bought the Kia OEM TPMS from the dealer in LA and they said they didn’t know how to activate and program them. Some folks here recommended discount tire store.
Could someone in Southern California area, specifically in the Orange County, recommend a store for me? A place that you had this done before please? It is not rocket science but I seem to have problem finding a good source of service for this😂
Thanks so much in advance.

Last time I need Tpms, I went to my local tire place. They had sensors in stock, they installed them and programmed them for $200. I hear good things about Discount Tire, if you have one near by go there. Also your sensors are dead already?

I had new tires installed for me by Walmart service and I am not sure what they had done, the car can’t detect any pressure from any wheel. I suspect those guys removed my TPMs and put in the regular valve stems. Yes I think they are all “dead”. I already bought 4 new OEM sensors from Kia a few months back. I will call discount tire store near me but if anyone has experience with one specific store near me, I would love to know. Thanks

Advice, never get auto work / tires from WalMart.

I know I learn it the hard way. You don’t know how many times I hit myself in the head for this stupid mistake

Costco does a good job with this, although they like to use their own sensors

Definitely would go back to Walmart and at least make them pay for it! Don’t get the work done there but let them know about the issue. Costco and American Tire’s are good but since you already have the sensors. I would recommend Tucker Tire in Aliso Viejo. Call them ahead just to verify but they are very good and fast. Where in OC are you located?

I m in the UCI area. Thanks I will call Tucker tire tomorrow.

You’re welcome. Hopefully they took care of you!

@Sodal949 I finally had a chance to go to Tucker Tire today. Thanks again. They installed all 4 TPMS for me for only $60 total. They told me just drive for a few miles and the light on the dash would go away, and it did. No programming or reset is necessary just like folks on here claimed. I definitely save Tucket Tire contact. Very polite and professional bunch there.
