Predicted 2022 Demand with 2023 Discussion Underway; Multiple Orders?

Just started wishfully thinking that perhaps some people who have ordered a 2022 might decide to wait at this point for 2023, thereby opening up inventory of 2022's. I'm getting antsy waiting for my 2022 EX AWD Telluride order. I ordered in mid-February and the dealership seems to be getting only 2 EX AWD per month, meaning my wait is still about a year from now. What does everyone think?

Also wondering how many people put in orders at multipole dealerships with refundable deposits hoping to get one sooner. When the first one comes in, cancellation of the 2nd (or even 3rd) order could mean additional available inventory as well. Thoughts?

I don't think that's how it works. I currently have an order in. If they pull my order soon for a MY2022, I can't just tell them no thank you and keep my place in line. I would have to submit a new order and be put back at the bottom.

I really hope you are right because I hate the 2023 version. I am next in line at my dealer allocation I ordered in sept praying I see it soon so far none in April for my dealer. May please!

I was told by my sales rep that the backed-out orders are offered to the next people in line with similar builds. They rarely if ever go into inventory. It really all depends on multiple factors including the dealer, trim, etc.

That's what I was meaning. If people start canceling due to either wanting a 2023 or having multiple orders, does that decrease wait time for others further down the list. I'd love to get one sooner than a year from now!

I know it should mean those next line should get their telluride sooner but just worrying to predict how many people have multiple orders or will decide to hold out for the 2023 model.
