• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all. Been a while since I posted here. Love this forum, but, you know, life...

Anyway, it’s kind of freaking me out that the Telluride has been out for almost eight months and the shortages and dealer price jack-ups are worse than ever. I was planning to wait for the 2021 model year to buy, but now I’m wondering whether the MSRP is going to be raised significantly because of the demand, which doesn’t seem like it’s going to be letting up anytime soon.

I’m in a few Telluride/Palisade groups around the ‘net (this one is my favorite, however), and speculation is everywhere, from a few hundred to several thousand.

What do y’all think? I’m thinking (and hoping) maybe a $1,000 increase on the SX-P... a typical $500 new model year upcharge, and another $500 to compensate for the high demand. But will it go even higher? Thoughts and advice are appreciated.

P.S. Anyone think there’s any chance Kia will throw in a full digital dash on the SX-P for 2021?

Honestly, I doubt there will be much of a price increase, maybe 500 bucks because of supply issues. I would say no to the digital dash. They are selling well enough without it. There might be a few changes, but I would not hold my breath for much. Maybe a new color or changing leather types. There is a good chance that there might be some features drift, for example, the heat rear seating in the SX trim or something like that.

A large price increase would almost be out of the question, unless they do something like the digital dash which has almost zero chance.

And we are getting past peak demand.

If I search for palisade right now, I get 46 cars with in 50 miles. Search for Telluride is 15 in 50 miles.

Palisade are not marked up like Telluride. Kia dealers are going to lose business to Hyundai
