Price Changes 2022 update 06-04

SX-P NFE. Their sales manager did finally get back to me just now saying that she had two S trims with an ETA of 6/26 so she was hoping she would see mine soon. I just probably overscrutinize everything I’m being told after learning so many details on this forum.
IF you are the next(or next 2) SX AWD order in line than stay... otherwise I would keep order with them but maybe open up to other locations with higher volume on failcat

All this talk has me wondering if I’ve looked at failcat correctly. UT008. 302 Total Tellurides with 150 SX models in the past year? Is that correct? Seems like a high percentage of SX’s.

Question, are the allocations (and therefore waitlists) broken out by trim *and* drive or just by trim?

Wondering if I should be watching for all SX'es coming out of FL118 to try and see my progress, or just SX AWD. I was told I was 9th on April 7th. If it's dependent on trim + drive then I'm getting closer, but if it's only on trim then I should be really close!

I'm about to place my order with VA027. Failcat has their total cars at 118. Where does that fall on the fast vs slow lead time order > delivery?
This dealer has been terrific to work with, and selling at MSRP with no markup which is rare around my area.

Trim and drive. So for Prestige you are looking at SX AWD’s.. separate from SX FWD’s

On the lower end.. so important to ask which number will you be on the waiting list for the particular trim and drive

This is my dealer. I can tell you that we ordered an SX AWD on 2/17. Got a call from their order manager that ours was one of the ones matched to one already in production and due in at the end of June (early July at the latest). So 4-5 months? They quoted me 4-6 months. Other dealers local to me quoted 12 months. And higher volume dealers all marked up substantially. Hope this helps!

ETA: Virginia is a tough state. I think a small number of dealers were able to get the incentives to get allocations early on. This dealer actually does ok for allocations across the state once you take out the DMV dealers who are pretty dishonest.

Here you go everyone. I know a lot of people are newer here and I wish we could pin certain threads but if wanting the meat and potatoes this is me breaking it down Jan 2020

This was follow up by Kia half way through the year of automatically transfer orders from Kdealer to KFOS.

So are prestiges are grouped in with the SX’s? Or are they separate still? Does having a prestige on order slow things down compared to a vanilla SX?

@StephenCantrelle you are a man of patience dealing with all of our questions! Thank you!

All good brother.. just happy to help.

SX FWD(vanilla) is separate from SX AWD.
SX AWD will include non Prestige and Prestige models.

more demand on Prestige models so yes going without Prestige ** and FWD*** will be quicker turnaround

so if for example on allocation dealer received 5 SX AWD’s then any configuration of SX AWD will count towards that 5 units.

All makes sense now NY135 is your store... looks like y'all only got 23 Tellurides for the year and yet to get a 2022 built...

Your store is prime example of having to know how many orders are already placed with dealer compared to how many you allocated...

Wait times can get crazy quickly at store with little allocation.

Your allocation is what is hurting your turnaround time.. Wish you the best and hope Kia increases your allocation...
Dude, I bought my telluride cash msrp in CT. Just found a dealer with one I liked and grabbed it a month or so ago, my used car was worth a bunch more so who cares if they charge msrp. I never ordered one-but this forum is packed with people who have lol. I’d do less assuming..its…well

Cool.. interesting user name. Thought you were dealer.. looks like I was mistaken. Hope you enjoy the forum and contribute in some way. So far I’ll agree to disagree with comments made here by you so far.

Are they selling at MSRP? Mine arrives imminently but I somehow overlooked them them in my calls to dealers 2-3 hours from me. Thanks for suggesting!

No they’re selling at $2,000 above MSRP but they were honest about it when I first called them and explained about the adjustment of fair market value across the country. I was quoted a lot more by the dealers in Richmond, VA and their wait time after ordering was 12 to 16 weeks but they said they generally come in earlier. I ordered mine on 4/26 and received my ETA last Monday for a 2022 that’ll be here June 23rd (6/26 according to Stephen Cantrell) or 2 months from conception to birth. With the amenities they offer, the timelines, cleanliness of their dealership, I don’t mind driving an extra 25 miles for a stress free experience.

Yeah, the Richmond dealers were definitely marking up. I'm in Cville and dealers near here are super low volume with long waits (and many with mark-ups). NoVa and Fredricksburg also marking up substantially. Tidewater has surprisingly low allocation and gets further way from me. VA027 in Winchester seemed a sweet spot for our needs - we are driving almost 2 hours. $2k over MSRP is definitely reasonable. Congrats on your car - sounds like we will both be getting into our Tellurides around the same time. Maybe we will see each other on I-64 someday!

Glad to have another VA dealer as an option for folks! Have you added them to the good dealers thread?

Interesting, I ordered a few weeks ago from VA039, Price Kia in Cville. They do have a lower volume but they are saying 90-100 days to delivery at MSRP. Any experience with Price? Also, like the username, I'm assuming you're a Disney fan then?

@StephenCantrelle

Is there any information on financing offers for the 2022 Telluride? Would the same incentives/financing offers that apply to the 2021 also apply to the 2022?
