• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Both headlights fog up and the front bumper comes off. The dealer says that everyone has the headlights and this is normal. and the bumper said what they did, but as a result the problem remained ..

@Dima Are you in the US? UAE, Canada? Sounds like you don’t have a good dealer to work with.

Miami...Fl

I'd try a different dealer. There should be several in the Miami area. Also, check the Technical Service Bulletin on forum. There was one related to the headlights a while back. If they are fogging up, then it would seem that a seal is not good. They definitely shouldn't be fogging up. If the front bumper is coming off, then some clip would be broken and should be fixed under warranty assuming normal usage. I haven't read of any similar problems on the forum... but maybe someone else will chime in.

You can also call KIA consumer affairs with your issues - sometimes that helps. But, the dealer should resolve the issues... sorry for your problems.

Did you ever get the bumper issue corrected have the same issue.

The fogged up lights seems as though the desiccant in the light assembly is saturated or not there at all. Could be a crack or some structural damage to the light assembly too. Not sure what to say about the bumper

It's not normal for headlights to steam up like that. It's caused by poor seals on the head lights and based on how common this seems to be with this vehicle I would assume they had a bad batch that were not made correctly. If it was just one I would say check the locking connectors on the rear are fully locked and not partial if they have them. I don't know these units well enough but most will have a rubber seal at the rear. if that locking connector is not tight that seal can leak when washing the car. But based on what I'm reading this seems a very common issue with these light units. Don't feel too bad though as my friend had this happen on a A6 and Audi also wouldn't fix it on the warranty. That cost him over $4kk to get fixed for one headlight. Their excuse was he washed it with a pressure washer and it's not designed for that so not covered under warranty.

I am interested how KIA going forward is going to handle issues like this. Coming from German cars under warranty, I never had a notable problem not addressed. Heck, my Audi Q5 had a issue with CEL from an emissions sensor that was a known problem in these cars. They fixed it twice, basically stripping the intakes to clean. The second time out of warranty. KIA is now selling cars that are taking these buyers and I am hoping that they understand this isn't the same person with a KIA Soul (no disrespect, just spent 3 times what that car cost). I guess if you want that service, you need to move up to their Genesis line!

It is normal according to Kia
