• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Have a 23 and every now and then, when it's bone dry on the windshield the wipers sweeps 1x. Not a random drop of water on the windshield. I've had rain sensing wipers on other vehicles for over 15 years and this is not normal. Not often and not the end of the world but odd--but more often than I'd expect. Anyone have this issue?

There can sometimes be false positives when there are sharp changes in light hitting the sensor (like maybe coming out from an underpass into direct sun, for example). Best practice is to turn the wipers to “off” when it isn’t actually or potentially raining.

The main function of the auto wipers is to modulate the speed of the wipers when it’s raining.

I've had the car in front of me use their windshield washers to clean their windshield, and just a minute amount of moisture flew through the airstream and initiated my auto wipers. I couldn't even see any spray on my glass, but I saw the spray in the air coming over his roof, so I knew what caused it.
