Rear A/C

I have the s model....and the rear ac never stays at the setting you want when you shut off the vehicle and restart. Is this the way it's supposed to be?
Seems like a hassle to reset the fans speed and level of cooling every time. Any ideas?

I find this a bit annoying as well, but my guess is that it doesn’t default to last setting because it’s a drain on fuel efficiency and the backseats are not always occupied. But, I could be wrong? I just select the “Auto” setting for the rear control every time I have passengers (human or canine ) on board.

Hmmm....I wish they had a way to lock the setting.
