• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... In Canada, the rear tail lights are not LED unless you purchase an SX limited which is equivalent to SX Prestige (US). I have the SX with a hitch and when I mount the cargo carrier it blocks the rear signal lights. Definitely a safety issue. I wish they made LED tail light standard on all Tellurides or made the signal light part of the main rear light assembly.

Did you find any solution yet?

same here but I changed all my halogen bulb into LED lights. So much better now. If you are interested , I can give you the number that you can ask for.

OK....dumb question most likely, but WHY are there STILL differences between US and Canadian versions of the same vehicles??

This is a very correct and logical question.
My friend, with whom we began to study for engineering, now works in Korea for Kia. I asked him this question, but even he could not answer.

I don't understand this either.
The most interesting thing is that, for example, models produced in Korea, such as Sedona, are generally produced in 3 versions on the same line:
1 - for asia
2 - for america
3 - for Canada
Moreover, all 3 options are different.
I understand that it is imperative to make different for Asia and North America: market demand, standards, certificates, climate, etc.
I don't understand why split north america and load the production line with 2 models.

My personal opinion is.... Canadian version is being made with whatever left over from US trim? I’m just joking. I know... it’s so dumb... I do not understand specially Tail lights... all front lights are LED but Rear lights are all Halogen. It doesn’t make sense at all... it’s totally different with US trim tho. The worst thing is Signal light tho. I switched all my halogen bulbs into LED bulbs. It looks great but still not as full LEF tail light ( Such as Canadian SXL trim ). So sad... :(

Agree....I mean really, I understand the different "national regs" that may be involved, but otherwise, the trims for each ( US and Canada) should be the same........there simply is NOT a whole lot of difference tween us!!! Love to you folks in Canada!!

One word - MARKETING.

As far as the lights being blocked... IMHO - all of the hitch insert cargo carriers should be required to have their own set of lights, similar to a trailer. Most US states have regulations that if there is something like a board extending 2 ft past the end of the vehicle it has to be marked with a flag or light; yet these cargo carriers, if not always, nearly always, stick out past 2 ft. Just from a safety standpoint of making sure the idiot driver behind you clearly sees that you have the carrier, if it doesn't come with lights, LED light strips are cheap and easy to add - just do it...

Sorry, off my soap box now 😔🤐
