• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Rear Turn Signal to LED

Yes they are bright.... But when the brakes are applied the lower part of the light gets brighter.

Thanks. I tried a similar bulb with the same results, not to mention that the heat created by the ones I 'tried' was concerning. There has to be a happy medium for a lower wattage LED running and/or combination running/brake light. I'll do some more research. Thanks again for your input!

View attachment 7248 Halogen on the left... LED on the right. Believe me... The LED’s make a difference!
How did you change them out ? Is it just that cover off to the side of the assembly that needs to pop out & gives you access to the screws. Also I see most come in packs of two, did you replace the top third brake light too ?
Thanks !

The protective plastic panel on both sides pops off with light pressure from a screwdriver. That will give you access to the three screws that hold the light assembly onto the frame. Once that is unscrewed, it's easy peezy to change all the bulbs. You will need (3) sets of two or a total of six bulbs if you plan on changing all of them out.

This is how I did it.C3EE8620-E44D-4545-9882-0285FFB739B1.webp

Did you replace the third brake light up top or no ?
If I understand correctly, the 2 5w5 are for the reverse & the 2 P21/5w are for the brake / running lights correct ?

Thanks again,

These are the ones I have. The 1797 red are for the brake/running lights and the 912/921 are for the reverse lights. Haven’t had any problems with them up to this point.
