If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Rebadging nightfall

Hey KML...I assume you took the same approach as sgbullets and just popped off the front badge with a flathead and trim tools. Breaking the clips to get it off. I just dont think its worth the time to take the whole bumper off to replace the badge.
I Agree it's not worth it. If I ever want to use the original badge in the future (which I doubt), I'll simply apply 3M 2-way tape and stick it back on.

How does the 3M tape hold up against the elements? I’m considering doing a badge swap with the Brenthon Semi-Matt Black to replace my NF badges. I just would hate to have the badges fall off at some point due to winter weather, rain, etc.

Your current Nightfall rear badge is attached with 3M tape. It is widely used in the industry so I think you should be fine. Instructions on 3M badges say to apply the badge with firm pressure for 60 seconds to ensure adhesion. Hope this helps...

I replaced my MY21 Nightfall front badge and took some pictures along the way. Like others have mentioned, the videos on Youtube show the front badge having 2 pieces (mounting bracket and the KIA badge) but the Nightfall grill does not have a mounting bracket. The badge goes directly only the grill.

I used a small flathead screwdriver that I wrapped in electric tape to keep scratches to a minimum. I also put painters tape on the rim around the badge to protect from scratches. The second picture shows where I inserted the screwdriver to break the first of 4 tabs. I had to press hard to get the screwdriver under the badge and then inserted the first pry tool. It took a few tries to apply enough pressure to break the tab but once it snapped, I was able to insert more pry tools to break the other 3 tabs. If you look at picture 6, you will see 4 square holes in the grill (at 1, 4, 8, and 11 o'clock). Those are the locations of the plastic tabs where you are breaking. Picture 6 also shows (if you look closely) a slight scratch on the rim of the badge where I pried off the badge. Picture 7 shows the slight scratch on the NE badge as a result of prying. Picture 8 shows the final product. To my eye, you can barely see the scratch on the rim and being that it is on the underside of the badge, you wont see it at all.

As a side note, I did start this project by attempting to remove the grill but realized the grill does not appear to be a separate part. The entire front bumper / grill appears to be one piece. I could be wrong as I only looked at it for about 5 minutes.

Total project time was 20 minutes (including the 5 minutes discussed above).

The rear badge came off very easily once it was heated up. Watch the videos on youtube for the rear rebadging, as others suggest.
The grill snaps off and is a separate piece. I replaced my chrome with the nf grill. Its not fun.

Rx9790 I assume what DigMyRide said is true that you would have to take the whole bumper assembly off to get at the grill to remove the OEM badges without breaking the tabs.

Hello. Did you do the grille swap on a 2020 or 2021? I want to swap out the chrome grille for NF grille on my 2020 SX, but want to make sure I wont run into any compatibility issues. Also, did you have to replace the radiator grille cover when you replaced the grille? Thanks !

Nice. I'm still struggling with mine. That thing is hard to take off on a Nightfall.

My only other advice is to slowly apply more and more pressure until it pops. Once the first one pops, the others pop much easier. Good luck

I have Kia Nighfall OEM badges that I removed from my Telly for sale if anyone is interested. They have some nics from removal and I will share pictures soon. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Here are the front and back emblems I purchased.

Great job on the swap. Are those badges you purchased glossy (background area) or matte? The photos you linked to show everything matte, but maybe there is a protective film over them?

What you planning on doing in place of?

Curious if you were able to get them off without breaking the clips? If so, I might be interested.

I currently have nightfall badges I want to install on my S, but clips are broken and the curvature of the badge makes me worried about whether 3m tape will hold it securely.

Suggestion: After i took my badges off, i filled the backside with epoxy to give the 3M a flat surface to adhere to.

That replacement badge looks great. It looks like it has some reflective quality.
Was the badge purchased through this site? Do you have the exact item name?
