• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... When I placed my order, the Mud Guard Kit was out of stock, so it couldn't be factory installed. Since I only ordered 2 weeks ago it won't matter, as it will most assuredly be converted to a '23 anyhow. When I do, am I right to assume these are worth the $115 to protect the investment? Getting an LX as I am the miserly sort :0)

Every model is plastic underneath so other than cosmetic scratches to the plastic, none offer any true protection. The consensus though is the weathertech mud guards offer much more protection than the OEM as they extend lower.

I'd say they're not only for your undercarriage, but tar and other elements that splash/fly onto your side paint. I've seen posts stating the OEM ones aren't as good at protecting the sides compared to the bulkier weather tech ones.

Thanks for your replies. I'll leave my base LX order as-is and maybe get the Weather tech ones if needed later

The OE ones installed very simply. They look great and the fit and styling blends into the Telluride perfectly. No, they might not offer same same amount of protection of others like the Weathertech, but you might want to take a close look at them installed before buying them. Just sayin.
