• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can anyone tell me how to obtain a replacement key? I have the 3 digit number from the lock cylinder.
I have lost the key for mine and would like to take them off for a while.

Local locksmith can probably take it off. And adjust the cylinder to a new key of similar size?

Have a similar issue and am looking for a solution. I see that Kia sells new Kia Roof Attachment Lock Cores (#UM000-AY008-L4) but retail is $75. Sure would be easier to just order a replacement key if possible.

Did anyone ever figure it out?

The KIA OEM crossbar keys are clearly stamped “Yakima”. Go to a Rack Attack store with your lock cores, and they’ll sell you the appropriate Yakima key for under $10. Or they can order a matching key if they don’t have it in stock. Rack Attack is also online, but I only have experience with their brick and mortar store.
