• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Welp this happened to our 2021 NF that is only 3 weeks old. Apparently windshields have to be ordered and can take upto a week. I was hearing 2020 models had a free replacement via KIA but it's not applicable for 2021 models.

I have a hell of a time getting Liberty Mutual and Safelite to get the right part ordered. They botched my order and almost special ordered a KIA Seltos windshield.

Anyone have this experience on a 2021 model yet?

Yikes, that sucks. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but that's a hell of a rock chip at the bottom there... if I understood correctly the broken glass KIA was covering for the 2020's just cracked with no visible reason.

Still sucks to have happen right away ☹️

Sorry to hear that. Im contemplating having Safelite try to fill this one now before it spreads. They want $135 which is still cheaper than my insurance deductible. Frustrating I'm sure you can agree. Hope they get yours right for ya

$135 to fill seems like a good stop gap if you are okay with that. I think the cost to fully replace the windshield is almost $1,500 bucks or some nutty amount after reading a few articles and posts.

$135 to fill seems expensive, around here it costs half that. It is still the best thing to do, it will prevent a crack from forming.

I got a small chip 2 weeks after getting my baby and had it filled for $25. You can barely tell there was any chip now.

Update, got it "repaired" today by Safelite through my insurance for free. We're financing therefore are required to have it fully insured until paid off. Our insurance company covers repairs and if it needed replacement I'd have to pay my deductible. Just FYI to anyone else with a small chip less than 6", call your insurance to see if its covered.
