Road debris chipping

Having some highway construction on the daily commute and noticed ALOT of chips in the bumper today. Having a Dark Moss it seems to pop right out. Anyone else getting alot of marks on their front bumper?

I don’t think it chips any more than any other car that is exposed to road debris on the highway.

Paint protective film should fill in the very small chips and prevent most chips in the future.

You can also get a paint pen from the dealer. It includes the matched color and some more clear coat to go over it. I ordered mine from my dealer and they just ended up giving it to me. Retails for about $15-20 so it's a quality investment regardless.

Picked up my Moss SXP today after having a high quality paint protection film applied,
along with tinting driver and passenger windows.
I see it as a “Pay Now or Pay Later” proposition.

Highly recommend PPF (Paint Protection Film). 3M is great but can yellow over time (5-10 years), trying Xpel out on my Telly so we will see how that performs, it has done very well on some friends cars.

If you are really unhappy with existing rock chips a talented professional can do wonders (for $$). I've had pretty good results with Dr. Color Chip products for DIY chip repair. It doesn't work perfectly for all chips but for your average hood and bumper chips it can do wonders and look quite professional/invisible. It's more expensive than a pen type product but I think the result is at least proportionally better.

PPF is the only thing I've ever seen that can keep the lower parts of a bumper looking new for a few years on midwest highways. Factory paint (no matter how thickly applied) doesn't have a chance.

Used Xpel product...10 year warranty, good stuff! Had them do the front, all painted surfaces, headlights, 1/2 hood and fenders.
Also roof pillars and mirrors.
Very happy with the quality of the work and the product.

Answered the wrong post...1/2 hood, roof pillars,mirrors, headlights 1/2 fenders. Had windows tinted as to match rears as best as possible.

Unique Car Care...Middleton,Ma. Was told there would not be a problem removing it years from now.
