Running board / side steps self install tips

Has anyone had to get replacement hardware? I had the old steps taken off and the hardware was snapping off during removal. Need all the t bolts.

Do you have to cut any of the body side molting to install these? Many aftermarket running boards say you need to cut out pcs. of the black cladding! Also, Kia needs to offer a Nighfall Addition running board set, all black!

I am installing a set. There is a very good video. Google "2024 Telluride side step installation video." The manufacturer's instructions NOT good!

Some models require you to cut a slot out out of the cladding almost all the way across it. They also take over the middle attachment point leaving the cladding flapping. The OEM style parts do not require this cutting.
