• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone gotten small rust spots on the satin silver trim around the windows? I’m seeing small spots that look like they are forming from underneath the top layer. I’ll post a pic tomorrow. I plan on going to the dealer on Saturday, hope they won’t fight replacement under the 3 year paint warranty. I have very few miles and the vehicle is garaged all the time.

Wait a second. Are you the same Tim on the Rivianforums? 😳

Guess I should have searched. Other people are saying that Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax will get rid of them. Just ordered some from Amazon, will get here in a day!

Any pics of rust spots? Does the Telluride come with 3 years warranty on paint? Would that include minor rock chips?

Claybar and nanoskin autoscrub pad works great on rust spots I've found.

Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax removed the spots for me very easily without making any marks on the satin trim

There's no metal in the trim, all plastic.

Those rust spots you see are fallout ( metal particles) in the air that landed on the surface and rusted. It's all over car you just don't see them easily on dark paint. I use fallout/iron remover every spring to get rid of them. They can eat through paint over time if left there.
