• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We haven't made a purchase yet but are having a hard time deciding between ordering the S or the SX. Are the extra features on the SX worth the extra money? What are some of the key features that you particularly liked about the SX? I really want sun shades for the 2nd row. However, my husband and I very much dislike the wood colored trim in the SX. The color is more gray in the S which is much more our style. Also, are you happy with your purchase so far? Thanks!

Here's the best summary of the features - you can click each model.

Scroll down and there's a comparison.

The price difference is large - $7,500 between models - so if price is a concern, stick with the S - lease or purchase (there are current lease deals... if you can find one).

For $7,500 in SX (non-prestige) vs S you get quite a lot - real leather vs SOFINO, 10.25" screen vs 8.0", LED headlights / taillights vs. projector, dual sunroofs, power liftgate, black wheels, etc.

You could also consider the EX if you're okay with a bench seat - you forgo the LED headlights (can replace later) and dual sunroofs, but you get a lot of the other extras.

The S interior is very nice - just have to decide if the features are worth the $$$.

As far as the faux wood trim, it is more of a grey color in black and grey interiors. Personally, I really liked the elegance of the grey interior EX. In the butterscotch and dune brown interiors, it is a little more brown.

There's a thread on this forum titled "S Owners Any Regrets" and I didn't see many - though folks wish it had a power liftgate.

Your comparison was well done, to go from the S to the EX the differential is leather vs. sofino, liftgate vs. none, bench seat in EX a plus if you own dogs, financially 2,200.00 difference is a small price to pay for leather, liftgate, 10.25" screen and bench seat. The SX FWD is about 4,500.00 more for 20"s and led headlights and no bench seat. Though the butterscotch leather rocks and is only availalbe in the SX. My nod goes to my EX in White with Lt. gray interior. The headlights have to be switched out to led's from SX. Anybody do this?

If you are trying to decide between the S and SX because if the Captains Chairs, a dealer told me that Kia was going to be adding the 7-passenger option to the EX to help with the demand.
