  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey! I'm new here and have been looking at purchasing a Telluride for awhile now, but I have learned that they are extremely hard to come by. I'm looking for a white or dark moss S trim with bench seating (may be open to captain's chairs) and black interior. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Can dealerships contact you when a vehicle with your criteria shows up on their lot?

@Jason Fox is at Kia of Muncie and has been helping a lot of people get their hands on a Telluride.. I don’t think there is one unsatisfied customer on this site.

Thank you! I'm in Evansville so I'm not sure how far away Muncie is.

A lot of dealers add market adjustment and other fees to buying a telluride on top of MSRP that are non negotiable. You won’t have that at Muncie. You are 3.5hrs away. It will probably be worth the $2,500-$6,000 in savings.

If it's within a few hours drive and Jason or Lucas can match you up with a vehicle, go for it. Many of us on this post are on a waiting list with Kia of Muncie for a custom ordered vehicle. So we have to wait until he gets an allocation from Kia to fill our order. But they might have one coming in that has not be ordered by someone, that fits your specific desire for color and options. If not, I'd suggest placing an order soon. I ordered in December 2019 and have at least 12-14 people ahead of me. So unless you find an unclaimed vehicle at a dealership, be prepared to wait for what you want. That being said, most of us are waiting for an SX/P (with or without towing). An S may be easier to come by. Good luck!

Use the VIN lookup tool, Telluride Lookup to match a vehicle with your preferences, and call those dealers to find an unsold allocation.

I started doing that yesterday and came across one in Terre Haute. Still waiting to hear back. I reached out to the one in Muncie also I believe but that vehicle was already sold 😔

Yes, you may have to reach far and wide. Good news though is that you want an S, and Kia just pumped out a bunch of 2020 S models. If you want a 2021, then it may be a while before significant inventory shows up.

I'm sure that you can find an unsold S somewhere within 300 miles of your location... you may have to buy out of state and have shipped or fly over and drive back. Lots of competition for Tellurides.

I haven't been but it's starting to look like I may not have a choice lol

Have you looked at:

This links with the same data on the VIN lookup site, but it's a bit easier to search. You can filter a bit easier. There were nearly 2,000 2020 S trims made in the last couple of weeks, so there's a good chance you can find one that's not sold.

Yes I've used the site and found one close by but I can't get them to respond quickly. Any other dealers I've contacted just say they don't know when any are coming in or they have all been sold 😔
