If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi folks,

My wife and I have been enjoying road trips during this covid mess and decided we needed something more travel friendly. Decided to sell my beloved Focus ST and started our research. We have comparison shopped Toyota, Hyundai, Chevrolet, and Ford and nothing comes close to the features, tech, and wow factor of the Telluride.

Unfortunately for us, we didn’t realize we’d be experiencing the dealership insanity that’s currently going on. I blame Consumer Reports. 😅

Looking hard at I-25 CO like so many others.

Good luck during this time! It took me about three months to locate the one I wanted.
Thanks for the luck! We’ll need it. Luckily, my wife is an Internet and resource hawk.

Three months isn’t *too* bad. I’d actually forgo a custom order if we could find something close to the extras we want.

Basically, a dark moss, SX prestige, Nightfall with towing would do the trick.

Order. Save yourself the headache. You can chase unsold inventory... but it's frustrating. Many Kia dealerships won't complete a sale over email and phone. "Must come in..." Good luck.

I'd at least get one on order from a dealer who sells at msrp and has a refundable deposit. That's when I'd try to source one that's available. You get one coming at the right price and then you can weigh your options as you find available cars.

We ordered originally through I-25 and the experience was great. It was about 3 months from order until the vehicle was ready.

However, we turned that vehicle down as it was a 2021 and the 22's had already been on the road for a few weeks and the wife said she would rather have a 22. we ordered through a different dealer that said 6-8 week but today is 6 weeks and no VIN. Hopefully I see something pop on failcat soon otherwise it sucks not having the bigger vehicle as we now have two kids.

Good luck with your search but I also highly recommend putting in an order with I-25 for the time being as they offer a refund.

That is excellent feedback, thanks for sharing. ❤️

Hi all. I’m “the wife.” 👋🏼🤣

We just got off the phone with Brandon at i25 Kia in CO. Ordered the attached SXP+NF build at MSRP + $695, and we also opted for shipping since we’re out of state. (It was a no brainer once we calculated how much we’d dish out on a three day trip each way with our tot in tow).

Even with the cost of delivery to our door, we’re still paying less than any dealer we’ve found in OR, WA, CA and NV, where markups are $3-15k over MSRP, and order ETAs ranging anywhere from 6-12mos.

We were given a 4-5mo timeframe from i25. 🤞🏼

Awesome news! Enjoy the ride. It is a fun journey, but a test of extreme patience!
Glad to hear you talked to Brandon. He set us up as well. Great experience. I highly recommend you ask about incoming orders. We lucked out and were able to put a deposit on an existing incoming allotment order. In stead of many months, it was only a couple! Doesn't hurt to ask!

Congrats!

Thanks! We’re ok with a few months to get exactly what we want. We’ll still keep our eyes out on inventory for the off chance something identical pops up, but we were trying to get as close as we can to our ideal build, without having to worry about item markups and additional labor on the factory-offered items right off the bat.

@Mediaogre i had to give up my Speed3 in the name of family and I went with I25. We bought a specd model but the process was so easy, Dominic has the process down and we were in and out.
Thanks
Nick

That’s great to hear. I keep hearing good things and we had an excellent and even relaxing experience with Brandon at I-25 today.

I love Speed3s. It was on my short list. I’ll miss that ST. Quaife LSD, big turbo, low miles... someone’s going to hopefully enjoy it for a long time.

Thank you and, yes, it will. I think I’m ready for a grown up vehicle. 😅
