• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Serious Question

I agree with all the replies to your questions. Like you, we live in Texas (near Houston) and are close to retirement. We wanted to replace our 16 yo Honda Pilot.

The only problem I had was when a local dealership tacked on an extra $5K to the MSRP price. I almost had a heart attack (nearly ended my retirement before it started!). However, after the blood returned from my feet to my head, I realized it was only sticker shock, so, I quickly recovered, got online and found this forum. I had never owned or considered a Kia (my daughter has a Sorento, and I was not impressed). We were/are a Honda family, with no warranty work needed (ever) for 3 Honda vehicles. So, it was a leap of faith to go with Kia.

Thanks to the fine folks on this forum, I ordered one for MSRP from Huffines (Corinth). I have not had a single problem with my ride. Most advanced, comfortable, and safe, vehicle I have ever owned. Thanks everyone!

If you would like to see my ride on our last, long distance excursion:

Thanks for the reassurance. Waiting for my order to get picked upon KFOS
