If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Shipping Prices - Tell us your shipping prices and from where to where

Hey Everyone!
I got my actual shipping cost today and noticed that there hasn't been a specific thread regarding this so if you had your Telly shipped to you please let us know how much you paid and from what location to location as well as including any other details like insurance included or not.

Mine is being shipped from Peak Kia North in Windsor, CO to San Pedro, CA (Los Angeles Area) for $650 and includes insurance. (1,086 miles)
I was initially quoted around $1000 so glad to find out it is a lot cheaper.
I am actually in the LA area and I am getting my Telly from the same dealer. Did you go 3rd party or did you use the dealer? I am hoping to get this same price!

Anyone use enclosed transport recently for shipping their car? Having a hard time choosing a company to go with

I did not use enclosed. I used ship a car direct, a broker, and they did an excellent job finding a carrier to transport from Muncie, IN to Atlanta.

I didnt use enclosed either. I was told enclosed would be twice as much

It isn’t sent to your dealer enclosed, and the semi isn’t going any faster than you will in the car. I don’t see the point :)

@Medloch3 For reference, I looked at Montway, Ship a car direct, Sherpa and a few other. All the prices were similar. Was hoping to go with AmeriFreight but they were not responsive. Montway, Ship a car direct and Sherpa were all very responsive. I checked BBB, number of years in service, and customer reviews. I landed with Ship a car because they provided a rebate for doing an online review, were super responsive and they provided extra coverage in case of damage during delivery. Having said that, they all use the same "marketplace" to put in bids. It also depends on the carrier that picked up the job. I felt reassured with the extra insurance coverage from ship a car. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

Would you mind sharing which broker you ended up going with?
My dealership picked the company and I just went with them. The price was similar to what I found online.

Yeah it's weird. I could have sworn others said it would be about $700 ordering from the same dealer. Do you mind sharing the info for the person you worked with at Peak? Do you recommend them?

My dealer sales lady? Or the transport co? I dont know the specific transport co cus my dealer got them for me but if you google car transport there are a ton of places you can find transport companies. My dealers name is Hope +1 (970) 518-3673. Tell her Kaleb referred you

I bought my GWP-SX-P-N T-Ride from Lawrence Kia in Kansas and got it transported for free to Colorado Springs, CO. I paid over MSRP for the specific trim I wanted, so that is why. During the negotiations, they said I would have to pay around $450 for an open transport. I bugged them a lot about getting quality transport (and other things), given what I paid. In the end, they provided a covered trailer transport for free - which really made me happy with my guilt for paying over MSRP. The guy who took the transport contract from the dealership was a super nice guy. Here is his card - no idea what he charges, since I didn't hire him, but he can put your T-Ride in his covered trailer if you can work it out with BJ. (Be sure to ask him what the strangest thing is that he ever transported!) BJ the transporter.jpg
