• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a 2020 SX Prestige Dark Moss Telluride with about 30,000 miles that I purchased new. Has anyone seen the melting of the plastic on back of side mirror and A pillar trim as attached? I took to dealership and dealer stated it wasn't a manufacturer's defect wtf. I have about a $1,500 estimate for parts, Labor, and paint to fix it. I have opened a case with Kia Customer Care and sent them the pictures and estimate to see if Kia will cover under warranty. The same thing happened to my 2019 Kia Sportage except the trim on A pillar up front. Has anybody had the same thing happen and was it covered by Kia as I turned the Sportage incident in on my insurance under vandalism and paid $100 deductible? Thanks!

Working on adding pictures as file size is too large.

Wow - never seen anything like that. You live in VA so I can't imagine the sun is too hot like western or southern states. I wonder where you are parking it if the sun is somehow getting magnified off some glass or other object and projecting on the car.

Yes I live in Salem, Virginia in the mountains. I park in driveway at home and sun faces driver's side of vehicle in the evening so no sun hits the passenger side where the damages are. I leave for work at 6:15 am and park at work where vehicle is shaded and afternoon sun would be on driver's side too. It is crazy and happened on my 2019 Sportage too. I have never had this happen on any other brand of vehicles before as these are my first Kias. Other than this, both cars are performing well.
