  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... No one ever pays full price for Sirius. If you call and speak with retention they always have a save deal for like $30 for 6 months or $46 for a year.
Thanks for that reminder. I was paying $170.16 per year and just called to cancel and got it down to $98.76... Probably not the greatest price but good enough for me...

Same here. Was paying $171.36 per year now paying $93.36, and for a better plan! Went from Mostly Music to Select.

I call and get my parents, and siblings Sirius price down every few months. I never take the first price they offer, always tell them its still too high and they put me on hold to "check with the supervisor" and they always come back with $5 a month. I just called into the cancellation department 2x yesterday and both times their first offer was $5.99 a month good for 12 months - so essentially $10 off a month. I figured that was good enough, since normally the $5 a month deals are only good for 6 months. This was also for the Select package, a lot of times they want to talk me into the only music, and I tell them No, I want all the channels.

Yes, me too. Select... They said it was better than the package I had. I only listen to a few music stations - so as long as that's what I'm getting, I'm good. I hope that eventually Pandora will work through SiriusXM...

I think I might have to try this.. Thanks for the heads up everybody.

It’s easy. You may have to call a few times, but they give in eventually.

I’ve had XM since 2002 and haven’t paid “list” price since 2004.

Bonus: I don’t know if this promo is still running, but SiriusXM was giving away free 3rd Gen Echo Dots with renewals, even at the discount prices. It’s a nice little bonus!
