Smart Liftgate Isn’t Working

I purchased a Telluride SX-P three weeks ago and love it.

I’ve been learning the various features as time has passed.

for some reason, the Smart Liftgate will not work, as of today. I went into user settings and it is enabled, so it should be working but is not.

any ideas?

Make sure doors are closed and locked. You have to leave the Telluride(walk away from it a good 15 feet) and then approach trunk area.

Do you have a remote fob for another car in your pocket at the same time? That would prevent it from working properly. Also two-way radios or some cell phones.

when locking you need to walk away from the door handles and trunk for at least 15 seconds before returning to the car.

If your power lift gate isn’t working properly in general. You can try resetting it.

I don’t have any other key fobs, but I am at my niece’s house, so maybe her cellphone is interfering?

Anyway, I’m hoping it’ll resolve when I leave here. If it doesn’t, I’ll try resetting it
