• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just wondering for those that are getting ready to battle snow, what did you purchased for snow tires and wheel size?

Idwally I would like to keep 20” rims but the price is much higher than 17” and 18”.

I got Hakkapeliitta R3s, well they've been ordered anyways. I'll put them on the 18s that came with my EX and will look to upgrade summer tires and rims next year.

I am about to brave 1st winter with OEM all season tires. I am about to purchase LX wheels on ebay which I plan to mount snow tire for the next winter.

I bought 18" alloy wheels and Cooper Evolution snow tires from Discount Tire Direct, probably put them on in a week or so

Great tire. What size did you get and what was the cost.

245/60/18s - 205 a tire. Haven't had them installed yet, so don't have the full costs, but will share when I do. I've got a decent guy here in town that's been taking care of my Pilot for years.

I have 245/60/18 blizzak installed. I got a package deal but the sensor where like 30 bucks each.

Total cost for me was just shy of 2,000. Included wheels, tires, sensors, and full size spare.

Costco wanted 10 bucks a sensor but would not install 18 on the sxp.

Hi

Do you have the link for these and what was the cost? Did you also purchase sensors foreach tire?
I don't have the link but I paid $1238.50 for the 4 alloy wheels and Cooper Evolution tires and that includes $45 each for the sensors, mounting and balancing, shipping and tax. I went with a little wider and shorter tire, 255 /55 R18

Hi,

I put 245/60/18 instead of the stock 245/55/20.
I bought Nokian hakkapeliitta 9 Studded with the steel wheels and sensors.
It cost me around 2000 Canadian Dollar everything installed.

Some snow and icy roads in the last few days.
I don't regret it.

I'm planning on Nokian Nordman 7's, studded for southern VT icy winters. 245/60/18. Still can't seem to find suitable steel wheels. Will likely use the OEMs and buy aftermarket in the spring.

You don't want 20s for a snow tire. Defeats the purpose. Look at tire rack.com and build a package.

For the steel wheel.
I use
18inch
Center bore 67.1
5x 114.3 both pattern
Offset +40
Everything fits perfectly

I purchased used 20" Blizzaks and put them on the OEM rims. They were 500CAD And had 13/32" of tread, fantastic deal. They run great. Looking at Kijiji in my area there are a ton of gently used (one season) Blizzaks and X-Ice-2 available - putting the savings aside it's great to be able to reuse.
