• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I read a previous post on here that Boucher Kia Racine did MSRP, but I believe that was in July. Not sure if still doing it. I was going to check with them in a few days after I get all my ducks in row on this end.

Thanks I'll check with them

None in the Madison area were willing to sell at MSRP. So based on a recommendation on here, I placed and order a few weeks ago with Finnin Kia in Dubuque, Iowa just across the border. They have been great so far. Now just waiting for my order.

What did you order and what time frame did they predict? Thanks

Also did you call or drive all the way there to place it?

SX, dark moss, butterscotch interior. They quoted 16 weeks to be safe but sounds like it could be quicker based on what people on here said. Although I’m fine if it is closer to the 16 weeks. I called to place the order and it took 5-10 minutes. There was a small deposit and that was it. If you go with them, ask to work with Keri. She has been great and was always available when I had follow up questions. She sent a screenshot of the order in their system as soon as I made it to make sure everything was accurate.

I don’t remember on the deposit. And now I am second guessing whether a deposit was required. I just tried to look back through my bank/CC transactions to confirm the amount for you and I don’t see a charge for it.

Just returned from Boucher Racine. They will order but 6-9 months out and the main kicker is you have to buy the Diamond Ceramic for $4,999. I guess my next step is to check out Classic Kia. They’re just over a hour from me.

I purchased at MSRP from Lupient Kia Milwaukee. Russ Darrow Wauwatosa also took an order at MSRP. Both were approx 12 mos ago.

Yes contact John Plewka at Classic Kia. Great guy to work with and always gives detailed updates as soon as they're available. When you're waiting 6+ months, the hour drive is hardly significant, right? You can probably just contact John through email or over the phone. No need to drive there when placing the order. I've been sending people his way ever since we bought ours and everyone has had a good experience. There's a deposit but it's refundable.

Here's his info:

I ordered ours from Dorsch Kia in Green Bay for MSRP wayyyyy back in May. We finally got an ETA of end of December. At the time they were the only ones willing to do MSRP but it's been a long wait. I still haven't received a VIN but expect that soon.

Our neighbor got theirs from Lupient at MSRP a year and a half ago. Not sure how because I talked to 2 different salespeople there and they said they never sold one at MSRP. They still won't last I checked.

How do you like your Gravity Gray? I have one on order with Classic Kia and I keep thinking should I do GG or the Everlasting Silver.

I love the color when it's clean. But for it to stay looking clean you need to wash it at least once a week. I always expected it would be hard to keep clean in the winter because of salt but I didn't realize how much pollen and dust it would show the rest of the year. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the Everlasting Silver but the people who have it seem to like it. It's more of a medium gray than a true silver. But I'd guess it's the easiest color to keep clean.

We ordered a Glacial White Pearl because after seeing a few driving around we decided we like that color the best (other than Wolf Gray which I'm not willing to pay the premium for). Ordering a new one was an easy decision since our GG with 11k miles is currently worth $2k more than we paid (including TTL).
