• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Installed Morimoto Elite 5k HID's with Canbus today. Haven't seen anyone mount them this way so I want to share what I did. I removed the plastic trim along the engine bay and mounted the ballast, canbus, and ignitor upside down against the exposed metal. I used 3m double sided tape. Looks super clean inside the engine bay. Everything is in a cool, dry place and I couldn't be happier with how bright the lights are. Hope this helps someone looking for an LED alternative.

Very clean, nice. How is the cutoff? I've tried HIDs in halogen projectors on a few cars and have never been happy with the cutoff. Don't want to be 'that guy' blinding people.

The cut is good. Doesn't blind ppl. That second pic is with the brights on. The telly has projector lenses and the cut off line they produce is good. When I drive by ppl walking at night, the light cuts off around the chest area. I'll take a pic tonight of the cutoff line against my garage and post it.

Thanks! If you wouldn't mind taking a few different shots I'd appreciate it - it's tough to get a good idea of the beam pattern from one pic.
