• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Successfully towing my 3822lb Camper this weekend

Can somebody opine if the Telly installed tow package is a class IV or Class III please?
It's a limited Class III towing class. The Telluride has a 2-inch receiver but is limited to 500lbs max tongue weight and 5,000lbs max towing. Some people define Class III as capable of higher. However, the Telluride is definitely higher than a Class II which is a 1-1/4-inch receiver, 350lbs max tongue weight, and 3,500lbs max towing and no where near the minimums for a typical Class IV definition.

2" receiver is what I was looking for.

Thank you

I believe it is a class III — it doesn’t meet weight specs for class IV. It is definitely a 2” receiver though.

Owners manual page 5-87 says not to use the Smart cruise control and LFA while towing. I wonder if it's because the sudden stop could cause the trailer to jackknife? I also shut off the A/C while towing uphill as the owner's manual says - definite difference in power when I do that. I still have to get everything weighed to make sure I am under the max. But my trailer followed like a dream!
Yes, I turn off all the lame centering stuff as it causes crazy back and fourth. So annoying. What's also annoying, the K5 has a button in steering wheel for this...and can even be enabled without cruise control.

We only turn off the ac on steel/long grades. Not so steep hills, we leave it on.
