• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Summary list for those waiting for arrival

Hello All,
While I was waiting a few months for my Telluride to arrive, I learned a tremendous amount from this community. I’ve seen a few posts asking for pick-up checklists, what feature adjustments people have made, and what accessories they’ve ordered. I thought I’d put a summary all of the items I found helpful to investigate in one post. If you’re currently waiting for yours to arrive, maybe this list could be a starting point to get you thinking or research further.

Basic adjustments at pickup
Wipe down high touch areas with disinfectant upon pickup
Adjust mirrors
Adjust seat – set seat memory
Set Sirius/XM favorites
Set ambient lighting
Set NAV “home” & a few other favorites
(I have not activated UVO yet. Still undecided on that.)

Cargo mat
I’m on the waiting list with Turner Kia for a Premium 60/40 split mat. Hopefully soon!

PPF & Ceramic
I did a full-front PPF (I went with XPEL Ultimate Plus after a lot of reading). I was really careful in finding an installer.
Note: They need to remove the TELLURIDE letters on the hood to install the film. I had pre-ordered a replacement set from kiapartsnow.com and gave them to the installer when dropping off the vehicle:

Also did XPEL Fusion Plus Ceramic coating. Since handwashing is difficult or impossible in the winter where I live, I made a list of touchless car washes near me.

Extended warranty
I normally don’t buy them, but this time I opted to take the offer from Muncie Kia. I called the underwriting company (Fidelity) and spoke with them about the claims process, and they verified that my local dealer was on their list.

Google review of dealership
I had a really good sales experience with my dealer, so I made sure to leave them a good google review.

Adjustments made to the default safety features after driving awhile
This is NOT meant as a general set of recommendations, just what I prefer after driving my vehicle for about 10 days. These are only the items I changed from the way they were set at the factory. If you're a new owner, I would read about these in the Owner's Manual, test them (and others) individually, and see what suits your driving style.

Adjusted Heads Up Display height & brightness to suit my driving position

Set Rear Occupant Alert - Off

Set SCC Reaction - Normal

Set Leading Vehicle Departure Alert – Off

Set Lane Departure Warning – Off

Set Lane Following Assist – Off
Set Lane Keeping Assist – Off
Note: MANY people like LFA and/or LKA so it’s really important to try them for yourself and form your own opinions. While I love SCC, I find the lane assistance features somewhat annoying.

Set Highway Driving Assist – Off

Set Forward Safety – Active Assist

Set Blind Spot Safety – Warning Only
You could add check tire pressure at dealership

Back up plan for another car in case the dealership surprises you with the wrong color or interior or missing options

Once your VIN pops on failcat you’ll know exactly what you’re getting. So theoretically you’d know several weeks out if the dealership would try and pull this kind of crap. That being said failcat doesn’t catch every single telly

Yeah, they tried adding rear entertainment system to mine for $1500. I raised cain, and the factory took it off. Not sure about my VIN Monroney sticker now because it shows it as being on the car even though it won't be. Maybe they will send me an updated Monroney? But I got this cleared up fast as soon as I saw the Monroney sticker and noticed it. Before the car was built. So check your Maroney sticker out well the day it is available.

Oof that's a rough one, sorry to hear that! Must've been a "close enough" order allocated to your dealer that they assigned you. Fingers crossed that gets sorted out and you don't have to wait much longer than your original ETA.

But yeah, that's what I meant by VIN popping on failcat. The access to your window sticker weeks ahead of the car arriving is great. Hopefully @Sevi can see their car on failcat once it's built.

Thanks Telmont, I am a daily Failcat checker now, especially since the dealer ordered SWP but as we know, that is no longer an option, so I assume will get the GWP color.

In the 6 months or so that I’ve been noticing Telly’s on the roads (first time I saw one I knew right away I had to have it 😆) I’ve only seen one white in person. So I’m excited to have something unique, at least in Chicago. Lots of moss, wolf, and the dark colors around here.
All the YouTube videos I’ve seen of white 22s look real sharp. I think our color compliments the new logo the nicest!
