Wondering if anyone is disappointed with the 10 speaker Harmon Karman sound system in the SX or if anyone did any mods to the sound system.

My question would be disappointing compared to other non luxury SUV's in the same price range? I thinks its fine in that sense. Comparing to any car that has custom audio upgrades isn't fair at any level. Of course, they will sound better.

I just think it needs more bass and they should have elevated the speakers into the pillar so the sound appears to be more elevated. It sounds like it's coming from my stomach area. It's not bad, but it's not great.

I went from an S to the SX-P and enjoy the sound much more. Basic radio sounds normal, but if listening to any type of Hd/ Ultra HDmusic, you can definitely hear and feel a difference. Mind you, this is the opinion of a guy who has not owned anything truly fancy, but its nicer, I think

I traded in my 2022 Model 3 RWD for 2022 SX and the audio sounds about the same. Literally drove 300 miles with each and I could not tell the difference (whereas I once downgraded to a base RAV4 audio system and my ears were bleeding on the drive home).

Granted the base 3 is a partial premium audio system but it is still excellent. I have a Model Y and the audio is a notch better than both. The bass and speaker placement is less than ideal on the Telluride.

I agree, it’s not a premium system. More mainstream. Not as good as the Bose in our previous QX60 and nowhere close to the B&W in my Volvo. Somewhat tinny and lacking depth. I’ve played with all the settings…

I have not. But also haven’t in those other vehicles so my comparison is apples to apples. Will give it a try though.

I have a 22 SX-P and I think it sounds alright, but I am at a age where I don’t need to crank up the sound. I listen to volume at level 10 or less 99% of the time.
