• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Does anyone have a SX, towing with Nightfall but NOT prestige? This is a weird combination but I really don't need the premium leather, HUD or premium headliner (have to cut it off somewhere). Wondering if this package will have any demand in the resale market down the road. Thanks all!

I don't think it's a weird combo - it's what I ordered as well. There seems to be less demand but I preferred the butterscotch interior over the prestige options, didn't like the suede headliner, and couldn't see the HUD with polarized glasses.

There have been over 300 produced in that combination since July. I can't imagine that people will be searching for that combination in the future. And with the large production of SXP's potentially coming on the used market, thus, theoretically, driving down the prices, that combination will be priced less than those.

Order what you want. Unless you plan to sell it in the next few years, it likely won't matter. It may not be worth quite as much as the others but that is OK. You didn't pay as much either so it is logical it will be worth less. But being less also means it will be easier to sell as there will be people out there shopping for a car in that price range, people who want tow (as well as people who don't care if it has the tow package but they like the price and the look and the features), people who are focused on the number of miles, or the color. You never know what will be the driving factor for different people when shopping for a used car. So get what you want and enjoy it.

I think my order is much more rare than yours since I'm going SX but without any of the other options. Like you said, have to cut it off somewhere and I already talked myself into jumping up to the SX instead of an EX. Looking at failcat for the color combo I have plus no added packages on an AWD SX shows they built 4 in the month of August. But I plan to keep the car 10+ years so resale really isn't a concern. As others have said, buy what works for you.

Not weird at all, that's what I have and it's a perfectly normal thing to order....SX-P is almost like the next trim level up, and not everyone needs it. I think the ones that may be in lower demand are going to be FWD models, especially higher trims. Tow is always going to add value for folks. Like @Ferg42995 said, you're paying a bit less so the resale will be a bit less. Personally I didn't need/want any of the Prestige options (though I would've liked automatic wipers and I like the stitching on the seats - but that's not worth $2300).
