• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was so excited to receive our ‘22 SXP in WG back in 2022. Fast forward two years, and I’m beside myself. We relocated from Hawaii to Idaho and have had, what can only be described as, some fairly rotten luck. I accidentally backed into an Airbnb covered stall, with the sun glare behind me, and the sensor didn’t detect the pipe holding up the stall until I hit it. A couple of days later, I was at a chain grocery store and came out to discover an ugly hit and run on my back bumper and trunk. When insurance finally sorted it out, we had all the repairs made at the same time. A few days after have the car, I came out to find that someone with a red car opened their door into mine. No note. Then sometime later, I came out to find that someone somehow scratched my door handle on the same side. Then a family member went into the hospital, between the lack of sleep and anxiety, I drove the front right number into my garage door. Then my partner backed into the garage and broke the mirror off. Sometime later, same partner pulled out of the garage and scratched the left passenger door. Now we’re on holiday at an Airbnb. We came out in the morning to find another hit and run. Someone backed into our car and cracked the bumper. It’s just a lot. We went from perfect car ownership to serious wtf and whytf does this keep happening.

At any rate, I think the WG was the wrong color for us. So it’ll go up for sale soon. And I’m thinking that the new SXP XL will replace it. But not entirely sure yet.

Anyone else having issues of not being seen, or not seeing things, with the WG color?

Always seemed to me like some of those medium grey colors were going to be damn near invisible on cloudy or misty days. My wife and I have noticed this a couple times on cloudy days when grey cars didn’t have their lights on and they would just seem to pop up out of nowhere. Maybe that’s why battleships are painted this color ;-)

That said, I can’t understand how someone could back into your car because they didn’t see it. IMO that just speaks to carelessness or inattention.

It would not matter what color your car was, they were going to hit it regardless. That’s why they are called accidents.

so we are blamming horrible driving and accidents on the color of the vehicle?

Less than 300 miles on my 25, so far so good.
To me, the Wolf Gray is a lot more visible than some of the grays running around..
