• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... let me know if yours does the same..

I don’t know if it is “super” accurate or just lazy....

never had a car that did this..

thanks for responding

I have noticed the "jerkiness" ....my assumption is that with the 8spd electronically controlled tranny which chooses the gears based upon algorithms, the feed to the tach dial is also electronic therefore there we see some "twitches." Given the complexity of today's transmissions....it probably would be more accurate if the rpms were digitally desplayed......not that it much matters any more. Back in the days when I drove a manual tranny car, I did pay close attention to the tach!
