• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone else had trouble using Waze and CarPlay in a 2022 Telluride? It seems to be running “behind” where I actually am on the road. Only had the car for a month but it has not worked properly. Thanks.

Hi,

I use it on iPhone with no issue on 2020 Telluride. I do know any of the map apps stop updating if you lose internet connectivity.

I’ve been having the exact same issue. Switched phones and still there. Maps and google maps operate fine. No clue other than the update I did a few months back caused it.

Waze works fine in my 2020 Telluride and all of our Honda’s as well as in rentals. Just for some reason it does not work in the 2022 Telluride EX.

If you are using a wireless Carplay device like CarLinkIt, yes the lag is incredible. The Waze maps shows the turn like 30 seconds after I already took it. If I use the USB wire it works perfectly fine though, no noticeable lag.

For CarLinkIt I use Apple Maps or Google Maps. I have a 2020 model year SXP.

I just used it yesterday on my 2022 Telluride with Android Car play and it worked perfectly.

Maybe try a different high quality USB cable -- I use wired.

Just picked up a 2022 to replace a 2021 that got totaled. The lag on the 2022 is so annoying. Never had that issue with the 2021. Could have been a recent Waze update or something specific to the 2022 models

I have lag on my 2021 SX-P and I use a standard Apple wire.

we have experienced this issue as well w/ our '22 model
when CarPlay and Waze are both running, CarPlay quits and restarts. Also have noticed the big delay in Waze current location

We are having this issue…Waze doesn’t know where we are when plugged in or when using the wireless connector…using iPhone

I found that Google Maps and Waze on a long drive tend to lag behind where I actually am. Apple Map seems to stay pretty much on track . . .

I have been told Kia is going send out an update for the 2022 Telluride but it keeps getting delayed.

the issue my wife is having is turn on waze and it thinks we are at home when we are somewhere elese...it can't find out where we are...it acts the same if its plugged in or using the wireless connector

only way I have resolved this so far is the combo apple maps and apple music. I have only noticed the issue when I have a music app and a maps app running. Using waze or google maps alone without music has not caused an issue but running any music app and a waze or google throws off the map and makes the screen slow to respond to touch.

Yes!! I have this same issue!! I don’t know how to fix it either. Have you figured it out?
