• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi,

On the SX; Is there a way to completely shut off the lights (particularly the LED trim that surrounds the headlights) when the car is running but parked? I've gone through the menus, etc..., however, I have been unable to find an option to do this. I ask, as there are times when I would like to have the car running but the lights completely off (i.e. the drive-in....yes; those still exist lol...the kids love going!). Appreciate any insight anyone may have.

Thanks,

Mike C.

Interesting use case… You should have the lights set to off vs auto, the LED trim (technically called Daytime Running Lights or DRLs) can be turned off.
From the manual 4-110:

Light switch.webp

To turn off the DRL while engine is running, shift to Park and turn on you e-brake.

What exactly is number 3? Can someone explain as much as possible to me? Dealer claimed this was on and drained my battery... i don't believe them tho.
Thanks.

If you're referring to the graphic from the manual above, your parking lights were on.

They are essentially side markers, or orange bulbs near your front signals. On the back of the car it is the read tail lights you see when driving at night. So basically all lights that are normally on on your car exterior for night driving except for the low beams.
