• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello, I'm curious to hear about personal experiences with driving the Telluride over sand on the beach. I'm not talking about deeply packed flat beaches that just about any vehicle can do - more about soft and unpacked conditions where 4WD is typically required. If anyone is familiar with over the sand driving on Martha's Vineyard / Chappaquiddick Island - that's what I'm trying to assess. Thank you!

I think sand driving is more a function of your tires than the vehicle itself. If you have the 18's and air down to 15psi or less, you might stand a chance. I wouldn't take mine with 20's out there.

I've got 32" BF Goodrich KO2s on my Wrangler and airing down to about 13-15 PSI is a necessity. Just curious if anyone has actually taken their Telluride out and can report back. If nothing else I'll be asking the rangers if they've seen any Tellurides out there when I head there later this year.

Any updates here or insight? Headed to OBX in a few weeks and curious if I will get stuck even when airing down?

How did it go? I want the telluride but we go to the off road beaches in Dennis Ma

hmmm ? I would have to believe that would be nasty on the brakes and exposed suspension components , not to mention potential for pitting on exposed body parts ......................almost as bad as a good Canadian winter !! 😉

This.

The Telluride has done very well in Mudfest and the Rebelle Rally, but with proper off-road tires.
